Ron was amazing.
We bought an old house with six exterior doors, five without deadbolts and one with an old, strangely designed deadbolt. I ordered new locks online and had tons of problems with delivery and locks that were broken when they arrived, but Ron was beyond patient. He was extremely helpful and creative in installing secure locks in a variety of doors, some all wood, some partially metal, some with windows, all with very old frames. He ended up having to come out to the house three separate times, but he refused to take more than the original, very reasonable estimate. Now that we are safely settled in the new house, we will definitely be relying on Mr Locksmith for all our lock-related needs.read more

I needed a simple non-emergency switch of my mailbox lock. Ron was able to come first thing the next day and take care of it for me! Even with a minor complication with the lock, all told the process took less than 30 min. At the end of the fix there was some confusion about pricing but Ron was very responsive and worked with me.

Lee was awesome! We called on a Monday morning to have all of our door locks changed, we’d just bought the house and wanted the (very) old locks replaced. Lee arrived only a couple of hours later and took care of everything. He answered all of my questions, and even showed me all of the pieces inside of the old lock when I asked. I see that most of these reviews here are for emergency service calls but Mr. Locksmith Dc also excels at scheduled visits as well. Every year, we get the locks changed at our house for safety reasons so this time we tried Mr. Locksmith Dc. Leo our tech arrived on time and worked diligently from start to finish. He made sure to explain every step of what he was doing and where the different prices for the different kind of locks came from. He also did a bunch of things like oiling all the locks without charging for it. He even showed me why a certain door was always difficult to open and wasn't anymore( turns out a previous locksmith had installed something incorrectly). Bottom line For anything lock related, home security, emergency or not, Mr. Locksmith in Washington DC is definitely your best choice.read more

Lee (from the Silver Spring Mr. Locksmith) was the utmost in professionalism and customer service! I needed him to arrive at 8AM due to an appointment I had to keep. He called at 7:40AM to tell me he was on his way, he arrived at 7:50 and called to tell me he had arrived. He quickly and expertly fixed my lock and educated me on how to extend the lifespan of my lock. He asked if I had any questions and had completed his work and was on his way in 20 minutes! I rushed out of my house to grab a delicious pizza delivery. Unfortunately I live alone and left the keys inside. Awesome Experience all around - polite, efficient, knowledgeable, and really fast response time - definitely recommend their services. I called Mr. Locksmith from a google search for a locksmith in my area & I cannot believe how great they were - Roy answered the phone & hooked me up with Ron, who responded within 5 minutes & arrived 10 minutes later to help me. He was friendly, polite, professional, knew exactly what he was doing, and finished the job in about 10 minutes. He quickly packed up & ran my credit card on his phone with an attachment that immediately emailed me a receipt. I went to take out my trash and forgot to unlock the door from my laundry room into my garage. I didn't have my phone or keys with me. I had to go to my neighbor's house to use his phone to look up a locksmith. I immediately noticed that Mr. Locksmith had a 4.9 rating. When I called them from my neighbor's phone, someone answered the phone immediately. They said they would call us right back to let us know when someone would be at my house. They called us back in less than 5 minutes. Within the hour, Jacob showed up. He would have gotten to my house sooner, but was caught in DC traffic. He even called my neighbor back to let him know that he was running late. Jacob was extremely professional, efficient, and personable. He assured me that he would be fair and not damage my locks. He did exactly that! I would highly recommend Jacob to anyone who has locked themselves out of their home. Jacob even recommended that I change my front door gate. He noticed that I had a key entry on both sides which could create a safety hazard if I ever had to leave my home under an emergency. While the "service" charge is $29 just for making the call, the price for a lockout service, (essentially drilling the old corroded lock) and installing a new keyed door set was very reasonable TOTAL at $170. (Ask for the 10% coupon). The lock set is guaranteed for 3 years. Jacob gets 5 stars for great service!read more

Jacob is incredible: fair, honest, skillful, and a really decent human being to boot. I had to call out on a holiday weekend, and he made sure to give me a good price, even though he could have easily charged more. It was a tough lock, but he worked quickly, expressed his sympathy, and gave me good advice. Ideally, you'll remember to bring your keys with you (or have a kindly neighbor with a spare), but if you don't, calling Jacob is your best bet.read more

I called around 11am and was told that the technician would give me a ring later. He called shortly after to give me a 1 hour window for the same day and then again when he was 10 minutes out.
